Taiwan-based electronics maker Prittec has named industry veteran Unaez Quraishi to lead its India operations, introducing locally manufactured, AI-focused laptops, PCs and monitors at value prices, with Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities next.
Prittec, a Taiwan-based designer and manufacturer of electronic and computing products, has appointed Unaez Quraishi as Country Head to build brand awareness across the Indian market. The company's range includes laptops, all-in-one PCs, mini PCs, monitors, motherboards and related hardware. Headquartered in Taiwan, Prittec runs a manufacturing base in China and maintains local sales and service across the Asia-Pacific region, India, Turkey, Europe and Latin America.
Prittec has had operations in India for some time and is now bringing its own branded product line to the market, manufactured locally under a Made in India approach. The company calls this a new phase in its presence in one of the world's most closely watched technology markets.
Its India strategy centres on value for money and on younger, technology-fluent consumers. Prittec is positioning its products around AI-enabled computing, reflecting what it sees as a decisive shift in what Indian buyers expect from their devices.
Quraishi's mandate covers the entire Indian market. Prittec is working to widen the reach of its core portfolio across institutional, retail and commercial channels, spanning high-performance laptops, all-in-one PCs, compact mini PCs, enterprise desktops, commercial display monitors and integrated IT hardware solutions. The company is placing particular emphasis on extending into Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
Quraishi brings more than three decades of experience. He was instrumental in launching the ASUS brand in India and has built a network across several major brands. His career includes senior roles with Acer Saudi Arabia, Microsoft Saudi Arabia and AMD, operational responsibility across Qatar, Oman and Bahrain, and nationwide distribution leadership for tier-one smartphone brands including Motorola and Lenovo.
Speaking about Prittec's expanded play in the Indian market, Unaez Quraishi, Country Head said, "I am genuinely excited to bring this brand into India. Consumers here have grown considerably more technology-oriented, and the segment of educated, value-conscious buyers wanting high-end products keeps expanding. Given how strong our technology is and how cost-effective our offering is, this feels like precisely the right moment for a brand like Prittec to enter this market."
Long-term commitment and supply gap
Quraishi pointed to current volatility in supply as an added opening. "The market right now is fairly unsettled, and the availability of the right products simply isn't where it should be. What we're bringing to the table, both in price and in quality, is something buyers haven't really had access to before. It's a level of value that others aren't yet able to match."
On the company's ambitions, he added, "Our approach here is built for the long term, not a quick play. The products are made in India, and there is significant investment behind this. Our objective is simple: give consumers genuinely high-quality products at an affordable price, across a wide range."
That confidence, he explained, stems from Prittec's standing as a manufacturer in its own right. "We are direct manufacturers, with a substantial facility of our own, and that gives us a depth of product and technology knowledge we can now bring to this market."
He noted that Prittec already has service infrastructure in place. "We're glad to already have our service centre set up in Pan India. We've introduced three to four models to start with more to follow."
With its early models already on retail shelves and Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets next in line, Prittec has laid the foundation for the months ahead, betting that manufacturing depth and local production can translate into pricing Indian consumers will find compelling.
