Qualcomm hosted the much-anticipated “Snapdragon for India: XR Day” in New Delhi, reaffirming its commitment to revolutionizing spatial computing and extended reality (XR) for the Indian market. The event spotlighted the latest advancements in Snapdragon-powered XR devices, including AI-driven smart glasses designed to deliver immersive and personalized digital experiences.
The centerpiece of the showcase was a new generation of Snapdragon-powered smart glasses, equipped with on-device artificial intelligence and capable of running small language models (SLMs) locally. These glasses demonstrated how AI and XR technologies can merge to create real-time, interactive experiences without relying heavily on cloud processing, enhancing both speed and user privacy.

This partnership is expected to bring next-gen wearable technology to the mainstream, offering features such as real-time translation, activity tracking, and personalized reminders directly through AI smart glasses.
Qualcomm highlighted that more than 100 XR devices globally are already powered by Snapdragon platforms, reinforcing its leadership in the field. The company sees India as a key market for its XR and spatial computing technologies, driven by a young, tech-savvy population and increasing demand for immersive digital experiences.
By integrating generative AI, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) capabilities into wearable devices, Qualcomm aims to redefine how Indian users interact with the digital world.
