Qualcomm’s Automotive Design-Win Pipeline increased to $30Bn
Qualcomm Incorporated announced that the company’s automotive design-win pipeline has grown to $30 billion, up over $10 billion since its third quarter. The growth was driven by increased adoption of its Snapdragon Digital ChassisTM solutions across the auto industry.
The expanded pipeline is a result of significant design wins with automakers and Tier-1 suppliers. In this fiscal year, the company has estimated revenue from its automotive business to be about $1.3 billion, up from $975 million last year.
Qualcomm said the automotive market size it is targeting could grow to as large as $100 billion by 2030. By fiscal year 2026, it is estimated to rise to over $4 billion and in fiscal year 2031 to over $9 billion. Qualcomm also announced an expanded partnership with Mercedes Benz Group AG which will be using the Snapdragon Cockpit for its in-car infotainment system from 2023.
Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated, “Qualcomm is a leader in essential technologies for the Connected Intelligent Edge. Our One Technology Roadmap scales across virtually every industry, including automotive. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis, combined with our relationships with automakers, has resulted in a $30 billion design-win pipeline. We are winning the digital future of automotive.”
