RIM geared up to take over Indian SMBs

Identifying huge business opportunities in Indian SMB market, the BlackBerry maker RIM is aggressively working on its SMB-focused alliance, mobility solutions and channel expansion plans.

Ā

Recently, RIM teams up with Getit Infoservices, which is a digital marketing company. Ā Getit will reportedly promote and market BlackBerry Enterprise solutions to Indian SMBs.

Ā

As per latest information, initially, Getit will target customers in Bengaluru and Delhi and then it will spread its reach to other major cities in India.

Ā

ā€œJoining hands with Getit is a great opportunity to leverage its strong SMB presence, footprint in over 85 cities and understanding of B2B market,ā€ said Sunil Lalwani, Director, Enterprise Sales, RIM India.

Ā

Ā

Lalwani further added, ā€œGetit will pass on leads to RIM, which in turn will assign the solution provisioning and implementation to the commercial partner in the region. SMBs are currently confused about how to leverage smart phones and BYOD to drive employee productivity and collaboration, enhance customer service and ensure data security; with little or no upfront capital expense.ā€

Market experts added that RIM which is already working with more than 50 certified commercial partners and Ingram Micro as its National Distributor, is likely to boost its partner base to earn more revenues from Indian handset market.
