Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has appointed S. P. Shukla as President - Special Group Projects. He was also inducted as a Member of the Group Executive Board.
Shukla is an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where he received the Mahindra Industrial Scholarship for academic excellence in Marketing and Finance. He is also a B.Tech from the IIT BHU, Varanasi.
He has over 30 years of rich and varied experience in managing large projects and operations. Shukla is a veteran top professional in the fields of automotive tyres and telecom in India. His earlier stints were with Dunlop India, Swisscom Essar (now Vodafone Essar). Shukla is acknowledged as a pioneer in mobile telephony and has many industry-firsts to his credit in the areas of strategy, technology and marketing.
Before joining Mahindra, Shukla served as the President & CEO, Reliance Infratel Ltd. (RITL), with sizeable investments in telecom towers and optic fibre.
