Samsung India has launched a new Samsung IT Partner Programme (SIPP) for its IT Channel partners. The new programme will classify its IT Partners – Regional Distributors and Stockist Partners - into three broad categories i.e. Platinum partners, Gold partners and Silver partners based on the sales volumes, consistency of sales performance and the product mix being sold by the IT partners. “The new Samsung IT Partner Programme is being launched with the objective of having all Samsung IT Partners under a single umbrella programme and having an integrated approach towards selling Samsung IT products to our partners,” states Mr Ranjit Singh Yadav, Director – IT, and Samsung India. “The new categorization of channel partners will help us identify and support the partners who have the potential to upgrade to the next level and grow with the company.” Over 500 RDs and Stockist Partners are being mapped as part of this programme. The company has also designed a clear and transparent “benefits” package for its SIPP partners, including rebates on monthly sales target achievement, POP and POS marketing material, co-marketing and promotion opportunities and high level communication support with the head office. In addition, the Company will also endeavour to develop the skill set of its channel partners by providing training materials and sales kit and by carrying out programmes like dealer meets, exhibitions and events. Samsung India has recently strengthened its LCD Monitor range in the market by launching its Lavender and Lapfit Series of LCD Monitors. The Samsung IT Division has also recently opened its first IT Brand shop in Hyderabad.
