In an initiative to strengthen its GALAXY smartphone offering, Samsung has announced the launch of the “GALAXY Core”. The smartphone is supported by Smart Dual-SIM feature which ensures the users to have two SIM cards accessed by one phone without the need of switching off or rebooting the device.
Vineet Taneja, Country Head, Samsung Mobile, said, “Galaxy Core is designed especially to provide a power-packed experience to the users by combining dual-core processing power, compact design, and Dual-SIM technology all into one device. The device is also loaded with various smart features that provide the users with advanced tools that continue to set the GALAXY series apart.”
Powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm Dual-Core processor, GALAXY Core runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Equipped with 4.3-inch display, 1800mAh battery and 5-mega pixel camera, the device comes with an 8GB internal memory space and 1GB RAM.

The device also offers the unique Best Shot feature that recommends the best photos per 8 continuous shots. The smartphone comes preloaded with a variety of smart features such as Smart Stay, Smart Alert, S Voice, Voice Unlock and Motion UI.
The GALAXY Core includes “ChatOn” feature that enables the users to socialize with friends and to do more than just instant messaging. The device also comes pre-loaded with a host of other applications including “Games Hub” and “Cloud Service”.
The smartphone is priced at an MRP of Rs.15,690/-. As a special introductory offer, the device comes with a Digital Wallet of Rs.5,000/- valid for 90 days applicable on Games. Additionally, Samsung is also offering free bundled data for Vodafone and Idea users.
