SightLogix unveils Thermal Camera

SightLogix’s new addition to smart thermal cameras “SightSensor NS60” has been featured at ISC West 2013. As per SightLogix, NS60 delivers thermal analytic accuracy and the clear thermal images 24 hours per day to a broad range of price-sensitive applications.

John Romanowich, President & CEO, SightLogix, said, “The NS60 leverages the accuracy and image quality of all SightSensor smart thermal cameras. With a more economical price, the NS60 makes a compelling case for using thermal detection solutions for mainstream outdoor security applications.”

This camera is expected to detect intruders at distances up to 60 metres (200 ft.) with a 63° field of view (FOV). NS60 ensures to prevent copper theft, protect storage yards, substations, communication towers, entry gates, well heads, car lots, or to fill gaps and blind spots along irregularly-shaped fences or topography.

Like all SightSensors, it leverages powerful on-board video processing for high Probability of Detect (PD) and low Nuisance Alarm Rates (NAR) while providing crisp, clear images night and day. It also  consists of a thermal imager, complete with lens optics, electronic stabilization, image contrast enhancement, video analytics software, camera control, and geospatial target tracking within a ruggedized, NEMA 4X IP66 nitrogen-purged housing.

This new thermal camera has been priced at $4,995 (MRP) in the United States.
