Amid rising counterfeit activity, the brand outlines joint enforcement efforts with authorities and shares practical tips to help consumers distinguish authentic products from unsafe imitations across online and offline markets.
Nothing India has launched a public awareness campaign warning consumers about the growing circulation of counterfeit CMF and Nothing-branded products in the domestic market. The company released a video on its official YouTube channel addressing the issue and detailing recent enforcement measures.
In the video, Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President, Nothing, discusses the scale of counterfeit activity, the potential risks posed to consumers, and the company’s collaboration with local authorities to curb illegal distribution networks.
The awareness initiative follows multiple enforcement actions across cities. In a recent joint operation with the Delhi Police, authorities seized more than 1,100 counterfeit chargers and earbuds that were falsely marketed as Nothing and CMF products. The company said it continues to work closely with law enforcement agencies to identify and dismantle counterfeit supply chains nationwide.
Crackdown amid strong market momentum
Nothing stated that the rise in fake accessories and devices has accelerated over the past year, particularly across online marketplaces and unverified offline channels. Some counterfeit listings reportedly feature products and colour variants that were never officially released. While certain imitations may resemble genuine devices, the company cautioned that they do not meet its performance or safety benchmarks and are not subjected to its testing standards.
To help consumers identify authentic products, the company highlighted several warning signs. Counterfeit listings often use unfamiliar brand names while claiming compatibility with CMF or Nothing, carry unusually low prices, and have minimal customer ratings or reviews. The firm has urged buyers to purchase only from authorised channels and report suspicious listings for prompt action.
The awareness campaign comes at a time when Nothing is expanding its footprint in India. The company recently inaugurated its first flagship store in Bengaluru, drawing significant consumer turnout. According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker 2026, Nothing was the fastest-growing smartphone brand of 2025, recording more than 45 percent year-on-year growth.
As the broader smartphone market faces slower expansion, Nothing continues to strengthen its presence in India and other global markets, while stepping up measures to protect customers from counterfeit risks.
