Corsair has announced its phenomenal growth in sales and market share of SSD product portfolio. Early adoption of SSDs in the market has doubled the sales of Corsair Force and GT series SSDs
With the decreasing prices of NAND, today SSDs are at less than US$1 per GB with forecast of further drops. Corsair noticed a phenomenal growth in 60GB and 120GB of Force & GT series, whose numbers have doubled. The holding up of pricing by HDD vendors after Thailand floods and the drop of pricing in SSD's per GB have narrowed the gap between SSDs and the traditional HDDs. Non-availability of enterprise SATA and SAS drives have also helped in the increase of SSD sales.
Mannan M A, Country Manager – India, Corsair, said, "Corsair SSDs have been well accepted in the Indian markets, especially due to the tumbling prices of SSDs. It is a big treat for not just the gaming enthusiast and overclockers but even to other customers who have been compromising on low-quality SSDs due to higher prices. The prices are expected to drop down further."
