Sybase has unveiled the Sybase Mobility Platform, the industry's first and most expansive framework of best-in-class mobility servers, mobile applications and mobile services to empower enterprises to transform the way they connect with their customers and enable their employees.  With mobility driving significant evolution in the enterprise and the IT industry at large, Sybase leverages its proven expertise, leading solutions and strong partner ecosystem to help enterprises better communicate, work and transact, globally on a fully integrated mobility platform.

"Despite significant developments in mobile device functionality and performance and the widespread usage by consumers, enterprise mobility is still very complex and costly as a result of siloed systems and device interoperability," said Stephen Drake, Program Vice-President, IDC. "Software suppliers delivering an integrated platform capable of bridging the consumer and enterprise mobility divide will demonstrate the most success in this market."

Sybase has released the Sybase Capital Markets Guide 2010. Co-authored by Sybase executives, partners, academics and industry analysts, the Guide examines the complex facets that characterize today's world of high-speed, high-performance trading. The Guide suggests what the future might hold under a dramatically new financial services regulatory regime and how intensified computing demands wrought by financial services reform is expected to contribute to an increase in IT spending by North American financial services firms.

Sybase has also been awarded a 2010 SAP Pinnacle Award in the "Technology Innovator of the Year" category. SAP Pinnacle Awards are granted to leading SAP partners that have excelled in enhancing the customer experience, addressing critical issues such as accelerating co-innovation and improving return on investment.  Sybase has received the award at a special awards ceremony held on the eve of SAPPHIRE NOW, SAP's international customer conference held in Orlando.
