Tata Communications has announced that Vinod Kumar who is the MD & CEO of the company has been awarded with the “CEO of the Year” award by the Asia Communications Awards 2013. The Asia Communication Awards recognize the achievements of Asian telecom companies and individuals responsible for innovations, achievements and great new services that are helping to build tomorrow’s industry.
Vinod Kumar said, It is a great honour to be voted as the CEO of the Year. Thank you to everyone who voted for me and our business. As a young company, we have achieved a lot in a short space of time, including the world’s first wholly-owned subsea fibre ring around the globe and launching our multi-year technology service and marketing agreement with Formula One Management. With such a dynamic and innovative team behind me, I look forward to launching even more industry-leading initiatives in the future to take our business, and the industry, to even greater heights.
Vinod was declared the winner following a public vote by the readers of Total Telecom, taking a clear majority.
