TE Connectivity launches Next-Generation ICM Mobile App

2 min read0 views

TE Connectivity has launched a new Infrastructure Configuration Manager (ICM) mobile app for control of customers’ physical networks. The app is a tool to be used with an active ICM software system, linking to the ICM server to coordinate planned work orders and provide direct technician messaging and responses.

TE’s managed connectivity platforms – ICM software and Quareo connection point identification (CPID) technology – have been engineered for monitoring and managing the physical layer of network infrastructure. The app is, thus, aimed to take this technology to the next level.

Mylaraiah J N, Country Manager, Technical & Marketing, TE India Enterprise Networks, said, “ICM mobile is a next-generation tool for network infrastructure management. Network managers have come to understand how important the physical layer is to the overall reliability and performance of their networks, and realize that there is little visibility into this layer. The ICM mobile app is a device-based tool that can provide an instant, real-time view of the network and render it transparent.”

He further added, “Creating the ICM mobile app extends our commitment to simplifying network infrastructure management for our customers.”

The ICM mobile app is expected to provide unprecedented management, details and control of the Information Transport System (ITS). The app features also include manual completion indicators, incident response logging, handling of response attachment, LED activation controls, auto-detect completion indicators, etc. The mobile app is now available, free for a limited time, on iTunes.
