Tech Mahindra signs MoU with NIS to expand Its Market Base
To expand its footprint in the emerging markets, Tech Mahindra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with "Navigation Information Systems" (NIS) , which deals with Dual-system GPS chipset-based navigation equipments.
As part of this agreement, both the parties will jointly identify and develop potential opportunities, while agreeing to explore the emerging markets with strong focus on solutions such as Fleet Management Solution, Intelligent Transport Solution, Vehicle Security, Geo-fencing, and Precision Positioning Services, among others.
C. P. Gurnani, Managing Director, Tech Mahindra, said, "We are pleased to partner with NIS-GLONASS as the variety, quality and scale of solutions they have implemented in Russia is impressive. This partnership besides addressing the growing markets will also facilitate the synergy between Tech Mahindra’s Telematics and M2M capabilities and GLONASS capabilities."
"Teaming up with such a major player as Tech Mahindra Limited, will help us to develop effective business not only in the subcontinent territory, but also in the Pacific Rim countries and MEA,” said Alexander Chub, Director General, NIS.
According to the MoU, Tech Mahindra will play the role of System Integrator of NIS solutions, and will also customize the solutions as per Indian requirements, wherever required. Besides India, the strategic partnership will cover emerging markets like MEA, APAC and CIS countries and will support worldwide propagation of GLONASS-based navigation solutions.
