Techcom enters Rajasthan with its Mobile Phones

Techcom has announced the entry of its mobile phones segment into Rajasthan. With this launch, Techcom has introduced their latest offering for the Indian handset market, the T35 & T65, which come with a bouquet of pre-loaded multimedia features, catering to the users on the move. The launch of the phones marks yet another business landmark for the growing company, as it brings forth a world-class range of handheld products within the reach of consumers. The new mobile devices denote a strategic move by Techcom towards establishing its position in the "mobility market" in India, by building upon its core competency of providing quality products at affordable rates.

Sandeep Kedia, Director - Mobile Phones Division, Techcom, said, "After receiving a fantastic response from the markets that we have entered in India (especially in east and south), we are looking to open up newer fronts in the markets of north India. We see Rajasthan as one with immense potential and the move will help us in consolidating our presence in this part of the county. With deeper penetration of mobile telephony into semi-urban and rural areas, the market is slated to grow further."

"We will complement this move by setting up a strong channel network with an aim of 40+ distributors and 40-50 service centers, having at least one distributor and service center in each district in Rajasthan," He added.

Techcom plans to invest over Rs.100 crore in major brand building exercise in the next three years. Keeping in mind the prospects of the market in Rajasthan, the company has allocated about Rs.10 crore (10% of the budget) for the State. Techcom has already entered Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Bihar; and Rajasthan becomes another significant part of the Indian market, which it looks to garner significant market share in.
