The empanelment authorises RANext Technologies to independently assess and rate in-building digital connectivity across real estate projects, helping developers, buyers and tenants evaluate how future-ready properties are for broadband, Wi-Fi and smart technologies.
RANext Technologies has been empanelled by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) as a Digital Connectivity Rating Agency (DCRA), marking a significant development in the country’s push toward stronger digital infrastructure within real estate projects.
As a TRAI-authorised DCRA, RANext will assess the quality and readiness of digital connectivity infrastructure in residential, commercial and mixed-use properties. The evaluations will focus on real-world user experience, covering parameters such as fibre infrastructure standards, in-building network design, broadband and Wi-Fi performance, and preparedness for emerging smart technologies.
Addressing a growing digital gap in real estate
India’s rapid shift to a digital-first economy has made reliable connectivity essential across sectors such as work, education, healthcare, banking and entertainment. With close to a billion internet users and increasing adoption of smart homes and offices, digital performance is becoming a key factor influencing how properties are used and valued.
Despite this, many buildings are still designed without structured assessment of digital infrastructure. The DCRA framework seeks to address this gap through a standardised, star-based rating system that objectively measures a property’s digital readiness. These ratings are intended to provide clarity and comparability for stakeholders across the real estate ecosystem.
Creating benchmarks for future-ready buildings
According to RANext, the DCRA role positions the company as an independent evaluator rather than just a connectivity solutions provider. Ankit Goel, Chairman and Founder of Space World Group, the parent company of RANext, said the empanelment reflects the firm’s domain expertise and strengthens trust among developers, consumers and regulators. He added that the company remains committed to supporting India’s digital ambitions by enabling well-connected, future-ready spaces.
For developers and property owners, a DCRA rating can serve as a credibility marker, helping differentiate projects in a competitive market and signalling long-term digital preparedness. For homebuyers, tenants and enterprises, the ratings reduce uncertainty around internet quality and support digital lifestyles such as remote work, streaming, gaming and smart living.
The empanelment aligns with national initiatives such as Digital India and the broader vision of Viksit Bharat, reinforcing the importance of embedding robust digital connectivity as a core component of modern real estate development.
