The Indian music record label and film production company, T-Series announced the foray of the studio into OTT platform. T-series aims to create gripping content and also appeals to audience’s coming from different sectors
T-Series has also signed up with A-list directors including Aanand L Rai, Suparn S. Varna, Anubhav Sinha, Nikkhil Advani and Mikhil Musale, among others, for producing series meant for streaming platforms as the company’s objective is to provide novelty in content for its streaming platform users.
The music label and film production company plan on producing shows on a variety of genres which include thrillers, murder mysteries, biopics and jailbreak dramas. T-Series, founded by the late Gulshan Kumar, has backed movies like Aashiqui, Baby, Hindi Medium, Kabir Singh, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Sherni, and Atrangi Re, among others.
The company’s Chairman and MD, Bhushan Kumar said that creating binge-worthy content will help the company in tapping new markets and T-series was rather thrilled to diversify itself into producing web shows.
Bhushan Kumar said, “We at T-Series have always believed in the power of stories, be it through the music we make or the films we produce. Taking forward this very ideology, we are ecstatic to now foray into producing web-shows with powerhouse content makers. We are thrilled to diversify and become a creative hub for producing music, films and web shows.”
