InfoComm International’s UK Task Force has completed its first audience research programme and, as a result, set up two new working groups to tackle key issues raised by the research. The UK Task Force sent out two separate audience surveys in May of this year – one to InfoComm members in the UK, the other to non-members. Survey results were compiled and analysed, after which the Task Force met to discuss the findings.

Chris Lavelle, Regional Manager UK & Ireland, InfoComm International said, “From both the member and the non-member surveys, two main topics rose to the top of the conversation. The first is that we need to raise the bar when it comes to identifying the benefits of InfoComm membership, and the need to raise the image of our industry generally. The second is that we need to develop some locally-focused education, with an emphasis on face-to-face training. We have therefore set up two new working groups, one dedicated to Marketing and Communications, the second to Training and Education.”

The two groups are supposed to convene via conference call and is said to then report to the next UK Task Force meeting on 12 September. The Task Force will then prepare a series of suggestions for submission to the InfoComm International Board.
