Vigyaapan Technologies has launched the first-ever iPhone application for Ishqiya, an upcoming Bollywood movie with Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah in the main cast. The application includes photos, videos, songs, information about the cast and crew of the movie and much more. The iPhone application will be available online and in Apple stores.
On the creation and inspiration for this application, Ankush Gupta, Founder and CEO, Vigyaapan Technologies, commented, “The application provides an experience that allows users to relive scenes from the movie. It will help market the movie to about 650,000 NRI iPhone users, increasing awareness of the movie. The application also allows the users to get closer in contact with the movie. ”
Vigyaapan’s iPhone application is completely integrated with twitter and Facebook. The application offers Quizzes and Contests to users to test their knowledge on the movie. The application plays on the storyline, revealing facets of the movie, situations in the plot and other interesting facets of the movie.
Vigyaapan is handling the social media marketing for Ishqiya, i.e. their Facebook fan page, Orkut account and twitter profile. Facebook fan page is buzzing with activity everyday and currently boasts of more than 2,100 fans.
