Vmware has organized the first of its four VMware Partner Exchange 2010 events in Mumbai. A total of 1,300 senior executives, sales professionals and technical specialists from top-tier partner organizations will be updated on the latest VMware skills and knowledge to help customers make the journey to cloud computing.
Similar VMware Partner Exchange 2010 events are being organized in China, Australia, Japan and Singapore during May and June. The New Delhi event will be staged on June 4, followed by Bangalore on June 8 and Chennai on June 11. The Mumbai event featured sales, marketing and technology sessions, as well as a locally-exclusive opportunity to attain certification for just 50% of the normal cost.
VMware's Asia-Pacific and Japan General Manager, Andrew Dutton, explained upcoming next-generation product launches along with the company's evolving partner strategy. He said, "We launched the VMware Partner Exchange concept in Las Vegas in the US to superb effect, so have adapted the initiative for our markets in Asia-Pacific Japan. Keeping our growing family of partners up to speed with VMware's technology and strategy, such kind of programmes will facilitate smooth transition to cloud computing for our ever-rising numbers of client organizations in this crucially-important region."
