Weston, which had recently forayed into peripheral product market, has introduced its high-end 2.1 multimedia speaker "Piano"with a built-in FM tuner for the first time in the country.
"The company has entered the peripheral market in addition to earlier existing range of Colour televisions, DVD players and washing machines. Weston has already launched two models of high-end speakers and plans two more in the next six weeks. The Multimedia Speaker market is a niche market with estimated total size of 50 lakh units a year and increasing at the rate of 20% per annum," said Sunil Sethi, COO, Consumer Electronics and Aplliances, Weston.
In addition to the high-quality sound, the Weston speakers feature a new design, which brings the feel and performance of a home theatre to a desktop. The Piano is a 3-piece system with 14 watts of power, giving listeners the best audio experience possible through their PC. A headphone jack in one of the satellite units enables convenient private listening.
