Zoho has announced the launch of an online business Card Scanner app for Zoho CRM . This app is expected to let users to take a photo of a business card and convert the image to text which can be automatically saved either as a new contact or lead in Zoho CRM or as a new contact in Card Scanner. It is designed to provide support for iPhones, iPads and Android devices.
Raju Vegesna, Chief Evangelist, Zoho said, "Entering data manually into any CRM application is a daunting task. Automating this process and making it simple for our users is the primary idea behind the launch of our new mobile app for Zoho CRM - Card Scanner. The App lets users save business cards on their iPhone while at meetings, events, conferences and trade shows - thus saving time and digitizing the process."
With the launch of Card Scanner app, Zoho users will be able to eliminate the process of manually entering data into their CRM module. Instead this app will extract the names on the card, information about companies and other card information. For non-Zoho users , the app can store card information in the card scanner’s native contact manager.
The other key features of the app includes, elimination of importing data from the spreadsheet; automatic location of contact address on Google Maps .It can also scan business cards in 5 languages and download the photo from social media and sync it with Zoho CRM.
This card scanner app currently available for the iPhone is priced at $4.99.
