The new lineup includes Nilgiree, Kaashmir, and Siaachen models with BEE 2026 ratings, advanced filtration, and weather-resistant features, targeting efficient cooling, year-round comfort, and reliable performance across diverse Indian climatic conditions.
Akai has introduced the NXT version of its flagship inverter air conditioners in India, expanding its cooling solutions portfolio with enhanced energy efficiency and performance-focused features. The updated lineup includes the Nilgiree, Kaashmir, and Siaachen series, all aligned with the latest BEE 2026 ratings.
The launch comes as rising temperatures across the country drive demand for more efficient and durable cooling appliances. The company said the upgraded models are designed to address varied climatic conditions in India, offering solutions tailored for both moderate and extreme environments.
Designed for diverse climate needs
The Nilgiree series continues to target value-conscious consumers, focusing on energy efficiency and cost-effective cooling. The range is built to optimise power consumption while maintaining consistent performance, aligning with the brand’s emphasis on delivering practical and affordable solutions.
Meanwhile, the Kaashmir series introduces a hot-and-cold functionality, allowing year-round use by offering both cooling during summers and heating in winters. The Siaachen models are positioned as heavy-duty units, engineered to perform in harsh conditions and capable of delivering cooling even when external temperatures rise up to 55°C.
Across the lineup, the air conditioners incorporate multiple features aimed at enhancing user comfort and durability. These include flexible cooling modes, advanced filtration systems designed to improve indoor air quality, and protective coatings to withstand moisture and environmental wear.
Focus on efficiency and customer-centric design
Commenting on the launch, Anurag Sharma, MD & CEO, Akai India, said, “Following the Mottainai philosophy is helping us reorient our processes to make production, operations, and logistics more efficient. This results in cost optimization and allows us to deliver our customer-first approach without gaps.”
“The NXT Version of our flagship range of Air Conditioners – Nilgiree, Kaashmir and Siaachen has been designed for the needs of Indian homes. Our ACs come with a host of productive features like multiple cooling options, Ayurvedic filter, weatherproof coating and more that allow our customers to experience the full value of the product matching the value first mindset,” he further added.
The NXT range includes features such as multi-mode cooling, anti-allergen and anti-viral filtration, self-cleaning mechanisms, and 4-way air distribution for uniform cooling. The units are available in multiple capacities, catering to different room sizes and usage requirements.
The new air conditioners are priced starting at ₹35,490 and will be available through retail outlets and online platforms across India. The company also highlighted its extensive service network, which spans over 1,200 service centres across the country, ensuring after-sales support for customers.
