Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a yard on 19th May 2026.
A former CIA cyber operative, cybersecurity advisor during the Obama administration, former CTO of McAfee, and Chief Scientist at Lockheed Martin, Dr. Cole was widely recognized for translating complex cyber risks into practical business strategies. He was inducted into the Information Security Hall of Fame and authored several influential books, including Cyber Crisis, Hackers Beware, Advanced Persistent Threat, and Network Security Bible.
As Founder and CEO of Secure Anchor Consulting, Dr. Cole advised governments, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and critical infrastructure organizations on cyber resilience, digital trust, AI security, and ransomware defense. His insights helped organizations navigate an increasingly complex threat landscape.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Cole was admired for his passion for mentoring cybersecurity leaders and educating the broader community about emerging digital risks.
