Developed with Google, Samsung’s One UI 8 brings AI-driven features like multimodal interaction and a smarter, adaptive interface, with the stable version set to debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in Q3 2025
Samsung has officially launched its One UI 8 beta program in India, marking the first rollout of its next-generation Android 16-based software. The beta is initially available for the Galaxy S25 series, including the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with early access also open to users in the US, UK, Germany, and South Korea.
Developed in close collaboration with Google, One UI 8 introduces several AI-driven features aimed at enhancing everyday smartphone interactions. The stable version is expected to debut with Samsung’s next-generation foldables—the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7—set to launch in the third quarter of 2025.
Smarter interface and enhanced multitasking
One UI 8 is designed to offer a more contextual and adaptive user experience. Highlights include a new multimodal AI system that integrates voice, visual, and text inputs for seamless multitasking. Samsung has also refined its user interface across devices, optimizing it further for foldables and large-screen phones.
In addition, apps like Reminder and Quick Share have received usability upgrades, while Android 16's Auracast feature will allow enhanced wireless audio sharing across supported devices.
Although Samsung has not confirmed the full list of eligible models, updates are expected to roll out in phases to several devices, including the Galaxy S23 and S22 lineups, Z Fold and Flip models from previous years, and select Galaxy A series phones.
How to join the beta program
Interested users can enroll in the beta through the Samsung Members app. Samsung advises backing up all data before installation, as beta versions may contain bugs or instability.
With One UI 8, Samsung is taking a significant leap toward AI-integrated mobile experiences, laying the groundwork for its upcoming foldable lineup and future Android innovations.
