California-based Super Micro has begun global deliveries of its Nvidia Blackwell Ultra-powered systems, designed for advanced AI workloads including large-scale training, real-time reasoning, agentic AI, and multimodal inference across HGX B300 and GB300 NVL72 platforms
Shares of Super Micro Computer Inc. rose more than 4% in after-hours trading on Thursday (September 11), following the company's announcement that it has commenced large-scale shipments of its latest AI server systems powered by Nvidia’s most advanced chips.
The California-based hardware manufacturer confirmed that it is now delivering its Nvidia Blackwell Ultra-powered systems to clients worldwide. These systems are designed to support a wide range of cutting-edge AI applications — from large-scale model training and real-time reasoning to agentic and multimodal AI workflows. The product line includes the HGX B300 server platform and the rack-scale GB300 NVL72 system, both based on Nvidia’s Blackwell Ultra architecture.
Strong market reaction and retail investor optimism
Retail sentiment was notably upbeat, with Super Micro ranking among the top five trending tickers on investor forum Stocktwits late Thursday. Users expressed strong optimism, with some predicting a new 52-week high driven by market enthusiasm and momentum in the AI sector.
Super Micro highlighted the engineering innovations behind its new lineup, including enhanced direct liquid cooling (DLC), optimized airflow, and improvements in I/O performance. CEO Charles Liang emphasized the company’s history of rapid integration of Nvidia technologies, reinforcing its position as a key player in the AI hardware ecosystem.
Investor chatter pointed to renewed interest in the stock, with some calling the move a potential catalyst for a rebound. While Super Micro has followed Nvidia’s performance for much of the year, the two stocks began to diverge in mid-2024.
Year-to-date, Super Micro shares have surged 44.19%, outperforming Nvidia’s 32% gain and the broader Nasdaq Composite’s 14% rise. The latest product rollout could further strengthen its standing in the fast-evolving AI infrastructure market.
