The new instax mini Evo Cinema blends digital photography with instant printing, offering preview-based shooting, physical controls, and smartphone connectivity, as Fujifilm targets users seeking creative flexibility and tangible photo prints.
Fujifilm has expanded its instant photography portfolio in India with the launch of the instax mini Evo Cinema, a hybrid instant camera designed to combine digital image capture with the charm of instant photo printing. Positioned within the company’s premium instax lineup, the new model is aimed at users who want greater creative control while still enjoying physical photo prints.
The instax mini Evo Cinema allows users to shoot digitally and decide which images to print, addressing a common concern around film wastage associated with traditional instant cameras. Fujifilm says the camera is built for everyday use, social gatherings, and travel, where instant sharing remains a key appeal.
Price and availability in India
The instax mini Evo Cinema has been priced at ₹47,999 in India. Fujifilm confirmed that this price represents the maximum retail price at launch. The camera will be available for purchase starting January 21, 2026, through authorised Fujifilm retail outlets and select online platforms. Availability may vary across regions during the initial rollout phase.
Hybrid design with creative controls
At the core of the instax mini Evo Cinema is its hybrid approach to photography. The camera features a built-in LCD display that lets users preview images before committing them to print, ensuring only selected photos are transferred onto instax mini film, which produces credit card-sized prints.
Fujifilm has incorporated a range of lens and film-style effects that can be combined to create multiple visual looks. These settings are controlled using physical dials mounted on the camera body, reinforcing the device’s retro-inspired design and offering a tactile shooting experience. A textured grip and manual-style controls further enhance usability.
Smartphone connectivity is another key feature. Using the instax mini Evo app, users can transfer photos from the camera to their phone, as well as print images stored on their smartphone. This effectively allows the camera to double as a portable photo printer.
The device includes a rechargeable battery with USB charging, making it suitable for regular use on the go. With the instax mini Evo Cinema, Fujifilm continues its focus on hybrid instant cameras that bridge digital convenience with the appeal of physical photography, strengthening its presence in India’s growing instant imaging market.
