Syrma SGS Technology, a prominent player in the electronics manufacturing services sector, has announced a strategic partnership to produce laptops for Dynabook Singapore. Dynabook, a pioneer in the laptop industry since the launch of the first portable PC in 1985, is a well-established commercial PC brand in Japan with a strong B2B focus. This collaboration aligns with India’s growing emphasis on local electronics manufacturing, bolstered by favourable government policies and initiatives aimed at boosting domestic production.
Under this partnership, Syrma SGS will manufacture Dynabook’s wide range of laptops within India, supporting the government's 'Make in India' initiative. The move is expected to cater to the diverse needs of enterprise clients and commercial distributors, while also extending Dynabook’s advanced technology to government agencies and public sector units. The partnership reflects a shared vision for innovation, quality, and self-reliant manufacturing.
