Smartphone maker Infinix has announced the launch of its latest device, the HOT 60i 5G, aimed at budget-conscious buyers seeking long-lasting battery life, 5G connectivity, and advanced features under ₹9,000.
Key specifications and features
The HOT 60i 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, paired with 4GB RAM expandable to 8GB, and 128GB internal storage. The device supports additional storage up to 2TB via microSD card, ensuring adequate space for multimedia and applications. It features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 670 nits peak brightness, designed to offer smooth visuals and outdoor readability.
For imaging, the smartphone carries a 50MP primary AI-enhanced camera supported by multiple shooting modes, including AIGC Portrait for improved subject detailing. The front camera setup is designed for casual photography and social media sharing.
Battery and durability
The company has equipped the phone with a 6000mAh battery, which it claims is the largest in its price segment. Infinix says the battery is capable of sustaining over 128 hours of music playback and more than 41 hours of voice calls. It is bundled with an 18W Type-C charger, and also supports reverse wired charging to power smaller devices.
The device comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and carries TÜV certification, which the brand says ensures a lag-free experience for up to five years.
AI and connectivity
Running XOS 15 based on Android 15, the HOT 60i 5G integrates several AI-driven tools, including call translation, writing assistance, AI photo editing, and AI wallpaper generation. The model also introduces “Ultra Link,” a feature that allows direct device-to-device calling without network coverage, positioned as useful during travel or in low-signal areas.
Pricing and availability
The Infinix HOT 60i 5G will be available in four colour options—Shadow Blue, Monsoon Green, Plum Red, and Sleek Black. Priced at ₹8,999, inclusive of a prepaid offer, the device goes on sale from August 21 via Flipkart and offline retail outlets.
