Wibmo, a PayU company, has confirmed its participation at Seamless Payments & Fintech Africa 2025 for the second consecutive year. The flagship event, scheduled for September 8–9 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, will bring together leading banks, fintech innovators, regulators, and technology providers driving the future of Africa’s digital financial ecosystem.
Strengthening engagement with Africa’s fintech ecosystem
The Wibmo leadership team will engage with industry stakeholders at Stand A-13, focusing on discussions around secure payments, authentication, fraud prevention, and financial inclusion. The company aims to deepen partnerships with banks and fintechs across the continent while highlighting its trusted digital payment solutions tailored for Africa’s rapidly growing market.
Adding to its participation, Ashley Mathur, Business & Sales Head – South Africa at Wibmo, will join a high-profile panel on September 9 at 11:10 AM. Speaking on the topic “Open Banking in Real Time: Leveraging AI & ML to Unlock Customer Insights and Financial Opportunities,” Mathur will share insights into how artificial intelligence and machine learning are redefining customer experiences and creating new revenue streams for financial institutions.
Leadership presence at the event
Several senior Wibmo executives will also represent the company, including Chitrajeet Chakrabarti, Head of Middle East & Africa, who will outline Wibmo’s regional strategy; Papove Bombando, overseeing sales in key African markets; and Abdul Adejo, driving sales initiatives in West Africa to enhance financial inclusion.
