TCS is also securing land in tier-2 hubs, including 21.6 acres in Vizag and 37 acres in Kochi’s Kinfra EM Cluster.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services exporter, has rolled out one of its most ambitious infrastructure expansion drives yet, with an investment exceeding ₹4,500 crore. This strategic move aims to significantly enhance TCS’s physical footprint across key Indian cities, reinforcing its long-term commitment to job creation, technology growth, and regional development.
In Bengaluru, the nation’s tech capital, TCS has made two major real estate deals — acquiring 1.4–1.6 million sq ft from Sattva-Darshita for ₹2,250 crore and 3.2 million sq ft from TRIL for ₹1,625 crore. These developments alone are expected to create seating capacity for nearly 25,000 employees. The company has also leased 800,000 sq ft at 360 Degrees Business Park in Electronic City, reflecting Bengaluru’s pivotal role in TCS’s expansion blueprint.
In Kolkata, TCS is developing two new campuses: a 30-acre facility at Sanchita Park and a presence in the Bengal Silicon Valley Hub. Together, these hubs will accommodate 16,500 employees — 12,500 of which are expected to be operational by 2025 — further strengthening TCS’s East India operations.
Beyond the metros, TCS is also making significant inroads into tier-2 cities. The company has secured 21.6 acres in Visakhapatnam on a 99-year lease, while in Kochi, it is investing ₹690 crore to acquire 37 acres within the Kinfra Electronics Manufacturing Cluster. New leases have also been signed in Hyderabad and Coimbatore, solidifying TCS’s commitment to decentralizing its delivery network.
This aggressive expansion is expected to boost local economies, generate thousands of new jobs, and support TCS’s growing global delivery model. It also signals a shift toward building future-ready campuses that cater to hybrid workforces, advanced digital infrastructure, and sustainability-focused operations.
