The partnerships will introduce AI-focused academic programs across more than 50 higher education institutions and establish a secure innovation sandbox to design, test, and validate artificial intelligence solutions for public-sector governance.
Calibo has signed two Memoranda of Understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to promote artificial intelligence innovation and strengthen AI-focused skill development in the state. The agreements aim to accelerate practical AI use cases while preparing a workforce equipped with industry-relevant technology skills.
The collaboration includes two major initiatives: the rollout of the Calibo AI Academy in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and the creation of the Calibo AI Innovation Sandbox in collaboration with the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS).
Together, the initiatives are expected to support Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to become a global hub for AI innovation while improving employability for students and strengthening the ecosystem for data-driven solutions.
AI academy to strengthen talent development
Under the partnership with APSSDC, Calibo will introduce AI-integrated academic programs across more than 50 higher education institutions in the state. The initiative is designed to align academic learning with industry needs while helping institutions build innovation capabilities.
The company will assist in developing AI curriculum frameworks that incorporate industry practices and deliver programs through blended learning models. The effort also includes establishing a secure environment where students and faculty can experiment with real-world AI applications.
Speaking about the initiative, Raj Vattikuti, Founder & Executive Chairman, Calibo, said, “AI adoption at scale depends on AI-ready talent and trusted experimentation environments to innovate quickly, responsibly, and with discipline, to turn small bite-sized use cases into high impact outcomes. Through our partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, we’re promoting AI-driven business innovation and applied AI programs by leveraging a secure sandbox outside of production environments to design, develop, test and validate real-world solutions. This is the kind of model that can help both institutions and enterprises build practical capability and accelerate impact.”
Sandbox for public-sector AI use cases
In addition to academic initiatives, Calibo will deploy and manage the AI Innovation Sandbox with RTGS. The platform will provide a controlled environment for designing, testing, and validating AI-based solutions for public-sector governance.
The sandbox will allow government departments to develop and experiment with AI models without affecting live systems, supporting the full lifecycle of projects from problem identification and model development to pilot testing and impact evaluation.
N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, said, “We want Andhra Pradesh to be a place where AI talent is built at scale and responsible innovation moves from ideas to impact. Partnering with Calibo, we will strengthen AI education across 50+ higher education institutions through curriculum frameworks and faculty development, and establish a state-level AI Sandbox to securely validate AI solutions for governance and citizen services before they scale.”
The initiative also aligns with the broader goals of the IndiaAI Mission, which seeks to expand AI capabilities and support technology-led governance across the country.
