Asus has introduced its latest Chromebook CX14 in India, targeting students, educators, and everyday users seeking a simple and secure computing experience. Running on Google’s ChromeOS, the new laptop is priced from ₹18,990 and comes equipped with built-in productivity tools and security features, including Google Workspace access.
The Chromebook CX14 is powered by the Intel Celeron N4500 processor and offers configurations with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. It features a 14-inch Full HD display with options for TN or VIPS panels, both supporting up to 300 nits of brightness. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI ports.
Available in two initial variants—CX1405CKA-NK0154 and CX1405CKA-NK0155—priced at ₹18,990 and ₹20,990 respectively, the Chromebook is currently on sale via Flipkart and the official Asus India e-store. A third model, CX1405CKA-S60394, will soon be available on Amazon.
Weighing just 1.39 kg, the CX14 meets U.S. Military Grade durability standards and features a robust design finished with wear-resistant paint. The chassis is built with 30% recycled plastic, and the device incorporates diamond and stone powder to enhance abrasion resistance. A 180-degree hinge adds flexibility, and a privacy shutter on the FHD webcam ensures added security.
The laptop also includes a 42Wh battery, a Titan C security chip, and 100GB of Google Cloud storage. ChromeOS offers quick boot times, automatic updates, offline access with auto-sync, and built-in antivirus protection through sandboxing and secure boot processes.
