The Department of Information Technology, Bio-Technology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, Vision Group on Biotechnology and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications has announced that Bangalore INDIA BIO (BIB) 2013 will be held from 4th - 6th February, 2013 at The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore.
The announcement was made today by I.S.N. Prasad, IAS - Principal Secretary to Government, Dept. of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, in the presence of Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, Karnataka’s Vision Group on Biotechnology & CMD - Biocon Ltd, Subir Hari Singh, I.A.S. Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, Sharat Chandra - Professor Emeritus, Dept. of Microbiology & Cell Biology, IISc and G Padmanaban - NASI-Chair Professor, IISc. The announcement included an overview of the activities planned during Bangalore INDIA BIO 2013 Conference & Exhibition.
In the previous edition, there were 20 conference sessions and 95 speakers from 20 different countries and over 500 Delegates from 450 companies attended the conference. There were 80 Exhibitors in the Trade Show, 450 Organizations from the Biotech Sector Participated and it attracted over 3000 Business Visitors. Business Delegations from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Germany and UKTI participated with their member companies in a big way.
