CADYCE has launched the CA-AOC30, a 30-metre Active Optical HDMI 2.1 cable designed to support high-resolution audiovisual transmission over extended distances. The cable supports resolutions of up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz, with bandwidth of up to 48Gbps, catering to professional audiovisual installations, home entertainment systems and gaming environments.
The CA-AOC30 uses Active Optical Cable (AOC) technology to facilitate long-distance signal transmission, addressing connectivity requirements in installations where conventional HDMI cables may not be suitable. Its extended reach offers flexibility in connecting source devices to displays positioned farther apart in residential and commercial settings.
Supports Advanced HDMI 2.1 Features
Designed to support HDMI 2.1 specifications, the CA-AOC30 incorporates features such as High Dynamic Range (HDR), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Audio Return Channel (ARC) and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). It also supports HDCP 2.2 for protected content playback, subject to compatibility with connected devices.
The cable's support for 8K resolution and high refresh rates makes it suitable for applications requiring detailed visuals and smooth motion. Its 48Gbps bandwidth enables the transmission of high-bandwidth audiovisual signals, while optical fibre technology is designed to address signal transmission challenges over longer cable runs.
The cable is also backward compatible with earlier HDMI versions, subject to the capabilities of the connected source and display devices.
Designed for Multiple Applications
The CA-AOC30 targets a broad range of applications, including home theatres, large-screen displays, gaming setups, conference rooms, digital signage and professional audiovisual installations. Its 30-metre length provides greater flexibility for cable routing in environments where equipment and displays are located at a considerable distance from each other.
With this launch, CADYCE is expanding its audiovisual connectivity portfolio to address growing requirements for high-resolution content transmission and long-distance connectivity across residential, commercial and professional environments.
