CBay Systems expands India Operations
2010-02-24CBaySystems, the world’s leading transcription technology and service provider, has expanded its Indian operations with a new state-of-the-art centre in Navi Mumbai. Located at Mindspace, Airoli, this 45,000-sq. ft. centre can occupy over 800 employees. The facility, one of the largest in this business, was inaugurated by V. Raman Kumar, Chairman & MD, CBay Systems (India).
Speaking on the occasion, V. Raman Kumar said, “This new facility is a testament of our leadership position and our commitment to provide a productive working environment to our employees. The new centre will enable us to accelerate our growth plans in Mumbai.” He went on to add, “We plan to grow our employee strength at this centre to 800 by end-2010. This is in line with our larger growth strategy to increase our total workforce India to 9,000 by 2010 from the current strength of 6,200.”
CBaySystems sees tremendous potential for providing medical transcription services to the US healthcare outsourcing market. The acquisition of 70% equity in MedQuist in 2008, has catapulted CBay Systems into a market leader in the US medical transcription industry. With a highly skilled workforce of over 6,200 employees, CBay Systems operates out of a network of 42 centres spread over 11 cities.
