Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways after nearly five years of marriage. The couple, known for their social media chemistry, tied the knot in 2020 but had been living separately since June 2022.
On February 5, 2025, they filed for divorce by mutual consent, which was finalized on March 21, 2025, by the Mumbai family court under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act. The usual six-month cooling-off period was waived due to their prolonged separation and irreconcilable differences.
As part of the settlement, Chahal agreed to pay ₹4.75 crore in alimony, with the Bombay High Court briefly delaying proceedings over partial non-payment. With all legal matters resolved, Advocate Nitin Kumar Gupta confirmed their divorce.
Chahal, currently signed by Punjab Kings for ₹18 crore, had to briefly pause IPL 2025 training for the hearing. Meanwhile, Dhanashree continues her career in dance and entertainment.
Though their journey as a couple has ended, both now focus on their individual careers, moving forward from this chapter of their lives.
