In a highly competitive environment, many products are launched in the markets that are not completely ready, tried or tested. This race allows vendors to deliver applications to the market in its beta stage. This leaves several security gaps. Customers don’t appreciate the fact that the product vendors are testing their products in customers’ live environment and fixing the bugs in the name of R&D.
Second biggest challenge is the compatibility and interoperability. Having multiple management consoles, monitoring silos of information spread across the organisation makes it difficult not only to get a holistic view but also ensure right security controls in place.
