Breaking News
CommScope has completed the sale of its Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) business to Amphenol Corporation, marking a major strategic shift that will see the company rebrand as Vistance Networks. The new name will take effect on January 14, 2026, following the closing of the transaction first announced in August last year.
The divestment is aimed at simplifying CommScope’s business structure and strengthening its balance sheet. The company said proceeds from the sale, after transaction-related fees and expenses, will be used to repay all outstanding debt and redeem its preferred equity, which is held by global investment firm Carlyle.
A sharper focus on network solutions
Following the rebrand, Vistance Networks will operate as the parent company for two core businesses: Ruckus Networks and Access Networks Solutions (ANS). The move reflects a shift toward a more focused portfolio centred on access infrastructure and purpose-built networking technologies.
As part of the restructuring, the Access Networks Solutions segment will also adopt a new identity and be rebranded as Aurora Networks. The business will continue to concentrate on access network technologies and solutions for service providers and enterprises, reinforcing its role as a specialist in this segment.
The company said the reorganisation is intended to create a clearer operating model, allowing each business to pursue its growth strategy with greater agility and focus.
Leadership outlines post-sale strategy
Chief Executive Officer, Chuck Treadway said, the completion of the sale represents a new chapter for the company. He noted that the CCS business is now positioned to grow under Amphenol’s ownership, while the remaining businesses will concentrate on next-generation networking solutions.
“CommScope has a long history as an industry leader across a broad networking portfolio,” Treadway said. “With this transaction complete, Ruckus Networks and Aurora Networks will continue executing a clear vision focused on access and purpose-driven networking solutions.”
Treadway added that Vistance Networks will move forward with the same commitment to design, innovation and customer service that has defined the company’s operations, emphasising continuity for customers and partners during the transition.
The rebranding underscores a broader trend among network infrastructure vendors to streamline operations and prioritise high-growth segments as demand for advanced access networks continues to rise.
