CommScope has upgraded its GeoLENs Mobile Location Centre (MLC) with new capabilities, including combined dual plane functionality that helps determine the location of mobile devices in difficult-to-reach areas. The GeoLENs MLC incorporates features like increasing processing capacity significantly, offering a system level troubleshooting guide and integrating with existing network or MLC routers.
"The GeoLENs MLC is already one of the most versatile multivendor mobile location platforms, supporting both gateway and serving functions for security, emergency, and commercial applications with handset-based, network-based, and hybrid locating technologies. This new release adds more unified intelligence to these multiple capabilities and can locate more wireless callers at one time. Even if operators currently support both control and secure user plane location, it is usually an either/or scenario. The MLC 10.2 software upgrade will transform multivendor networks into being capable of utilizing whatever technology is best and available to find the caller," said John Baker, VP & GM, Network Solutions, CommScope.
