Data Safeguard India Names Tirthankar Mitra as CRO

Data Safeguard India today announced the appointment of Tirthankar Mitra as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), effective immediately. In his new role, Mitra will lead Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Strategic Partnerships, with a focus on India, the Middle East, and other highly regulated markets.

The appointment comes at a pivotal moment as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act enters active enforcement, pushing enterprises to elevate privacy, consent governance, DSAR automation, confidential data discovery, redaction, and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) to board-level priorities. Mitra brings over 30 years of experience building and scaling technology businesses across data privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, cloud, and enterprise platforms. He has led global and regional operations across India, the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and is recognized for forging strong partnerships and guiding high-performance, cross-cultural teams. His track record spans regulated sectors including BFSI, Healthcare, and Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
