Dell, NSDC and Learning Links Foundation have added 7 Solar-Powered Community Hubs in India
These hubs are a testament to their commitment to leveraging technology for social good, providing a sustainable and inclusive platform for digital learning and skill development.

In a significant move toward promoting digital empowerment, Dell Technologies, NSDC, and Learning Links Foundation have expanded Mobile Solar Community Hubs to seven new locations across India. The program has entered the third year of its execution. This initiative aims to promote digital inclusion, financial literacy, technical training, and AI-focused skill enhancement.

The Hubs will provide local communities with equitable access to technology, enabling them to build capacity through digital and financial literacy, technical training, and AI-focused interventions. Through on-site training sessions, curated curricula, and a community-first approach, the Hubs directly address local needs, helping bridge the digital divide and advance inclusion in the digital economy.

Solar-Powered Digital Hubs

The Solar-Powered Digital Hubs are designed to address the lack of digital infrastructure and resources in rural and semi-urban areas. By running entirely on solar energy, these hubs ensure reliable access to technology while promoting sustainability. The initiative aligns with India’s mission to bridge the digital divide and empower marginalized sections of society with skills for the digital age.

The Dell Community Hubs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including computers, internet connectivity, and learning resources, enabling residents to access educational tools, skill-building programs, and employment opportunities. The collaboration between Dell, NSDC, and the Learning Links Foundation highlights a shared vision of fostering self-reliance and sustainable growth in communities.

Powered entirely by solar energy, the hubs ensure uninterrupted operations, even in areas with limited electricity access. Tailored to meet the specific needs of local communities, the hubs provide resources for students, professionals, and entrepreneurs alike.

The establishment of these Solar-Powered Community Hubs is a critical step in India's digital transformation journey. With millions still lacking access to basic digital infrastructure, these hubs aim to bridge the gap and make technology accessible to everyone. They support the Indian government’s vision of a Digital India by providing rural and semi-urban populations with tools to enhance their skills and livelihoods.

Dell Technologies has long been a proponent of using technology to drive positive change. By combining Dell’s technological expertise with NSDC’s skill-building framework and Learning Links Foundation’s educational outreach, the project promises to deliver a transformative impact.

The addition of these seven Solar-Powered Digital Hubs underscores a scalable and sustainable model for community development. As the partnership grows, there is potential for expanding this initiative to more regions, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their location, has access to digital tools and opportunities. This effort not only fosters India Digital Empowerment but also sets a global example of how public-private partnerships can drive meaningful change through sustainable technology.
