EMC India has appointed Subroto Das as the Chief Operating Officer of EMC India & SARCC region. Subroto will be responsible for driving sales in the region and will work towards maximizing productivity and coverage across Enterprise and Commercial markets in India and SARCC region. Subroto will report to Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India & SAARC.Â

Subroto brings with him a wealth of experience by virtue of his long-standing association and in-depth understanding of the Information Infrastructure market. He will lead EMC’s sales team to realize the high growth potential of the enterprise and commercial markets in India.”
Subroto joins EMC from Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he was Director, Enterprise Storage Business, Asia Pacific and Australia. Prior to HP, Subroto held senior sales positions at companies, including Cisco Systems Inc and Wipro Infotech.
This announcement closely follows EMC’s fresh investments to the tune of US$1.5 billion in September 2009, taking its total commitment to the country to US$2 billion. The investment will help EMC drive deeper levels of engagement and support for its customers and partners.
