The Maharashtra IT industry body begins its revival process with a new leadership team representing associations from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur and Pimpri-Chinchwad following discussions on its constitution and future direction.
The Federation of Information Technology Associations of Maharashtra (FITAM) has constituted a new governing body following a meeting hosted by the Computers & Media Dealers Association (CMDA) Pune.
The meeting focused on discussions around FITAM’s revival and constitutional framework, following which six representatives were unanimously selected for key leadership positions.
Samir Parekh of CMDA Mumbai has been appointed President, while Pankaj S Shah of ASIRT Mumbai will serve as Vice President. Anand Jagdale of CMDA Pune has been named Secretary, and Sharad Mishra of CAN Nashik will take charge as Treasurer.
Lalit Gandhi of VCMDWA Nagpur and Amar Agarwal of MAIT Pimpri-Chinchwad have been appointed as governing body members.
New team to drive FITAM’s revival
The new leadership brings together representatives from key IT associations across Maharashtra. The reconstituted body is expected to focus on strengthening coordination among regional associations and taking forward FITAM’s revival and growth agenda.
The formation of the governing body marks a fresh organisational phase for FITAM as it seeks to reinforce its role as a common platform for Maharashtra’s IT and technology channel community.
