G-Shot D5123 also enables high quality images up to 12 mega pixel by interpolation to be taken sharply in large size pictures of 12"x18". The built-in microphone provides voice for the user’s video in 640 x 480 (VGA) and 320 x 240 (QVGA). A 2.0" Colour TFT LCD screen makes it easy to frame your object when capturing images.

Similarly, Genius patented Opto Mouse, the Traveler 355 Laser (1600 DPI Laser Mouse) with Touch Sensor, replaces the wheel mouse and features a comfortable touch scroll panel. This allows for multidirectional scrolling. On the bottom of Traveler 355 Laser is the advanced laser technology that makes this mouse work reliably on most types of surfaces and offers much higher tracking power than regular optical mice.

Finally, the G-Note 7000, an A4 size digital note and tablet, which is highly useful for the students, doctors, lawyers and reporters, though other users of pen and paper can also use it on the occasion of meetings, note-takings and presentations. Only thing the users need to do is to keep A4 size paper on it and take note with the help of the pen connected to the digital notepad. Dax Networks Unveils DX-7208
Networking company, Dax Networks has unveiled DX-7208, a high-performance Modular core router. DX-7208 is targeted at mid-sized and large enterprises across all vertical segments.

DX-7208 is a multifunctional router with high port density that can serve as an access platform for multiple services such as data, video and voice. It supports 8 MIM (Multifunction Interface Module) slots, and can support simultaneous aggregation of multiple E1 interfaces. All the line cards are hot swappable.

The highlight of DX-7208 is that it tightly integrates the high-performance communication processor and software to deliver 1Mpps throughput. DX-7208 supports BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and MPLS, the next generation of Internet broadband technology, protocol suite, and can be deployed on PE (Provider Edge) or P (Provider) nodes in the MPLS network.

DX-7208 supports many kinds of IP QoS applications so that the subscriber can realize traffic engineering effectively. Additionally, MPLS provided by DX-7208 can interconnect with MPLS provided by other manufacturers’ equipments, thereby protecting the original network investment of user.

By offering a combination of VPN construction and built-in firewall, DX-7208 addresses the key network requirement of security architecture. DX-7208 supports PPTP, L2TP, IPSEC and MPLS, all of which can be adopted to construct different types of VPNs from layer-2 to layer-3. Without hiring expensive private lines, an enterprise can, through Internet, adopt Intranet VPN, to connect with its network nodes. The integration design offered by DX-7208 enables easy migration to the secure VPN mode. DX-7208’s integrated firewall supports high-level security features.

DX-7208 supports rich QoS: IntServ (Integrated Services) and DiffServ (Differentiated Services), RSVP (Resource Reservation Protocol), CAR (committed access rate) and queuing strategies such as PQ, FIFO, CQ, FQ, CBWFQ, LLQ, etc.

SCO introduces Mobility Automation Solutions
The SCO Group has introduced the mobility automation solutions, named DT4 in India. SCO recently entered into a strategic business partnership with Day-Timers, Inc. to develop, market, merchandise and support a suite of Day-Timer(R) branded mobile automation solutions. Coded as DT4, these solutions offer services such as time management, calendaring, and task management by integrating Me Inc. Shout, Vote, and other services offered by SCO. DT4 introduces ”Day in a Life” automation for personal and professional tasks and offers custom solutions for verticals markets such as lawyers, doctors, real estate agents, and insurance agents for both mobile and PC clients. This rich integration of products benefits customers by enabling them to organize their lives with a complete mobile solution.

DT4 is designed to function in a shared collaborative environment that can also be customized to the needs of individual users. It is unlike any other computer or paper-based organization tool, as it provides specialized, real-time automation of life and business events in any location via mobilization. Technologically, DT4 is also unique as it is carrier and platform independent and runs on various handsets such as the Palm Top or RIM Blackberry. DT4 provides users with instant information through real-time access to both personal and corporate resources and databases.

DT4 is powered by SCO’s unique back-end EdgeClick servers to provide immediate and secure information to users at home, field or office. These back-end servers are customized support platforms, with service-oriented architecture, and perform the transaction processing and heavy lifting for each mobile device. They also provide a single, flexible and secure channel for information flow and connectivity, enabling DT4 to effectively off-load processing, switching, routing, and message queuing from mobile phones without having to synchronize in a cradle.

One Year On! Intel is World Ahead
Intel has celebrated the first anniversary of the Intel World Ahead Program and reaffirmed its commitment to extend the benefits of uncompromised technology to communities worldwide.

The Intel World Ahead Program is intended to broaden access to technology and education for people in developing communities and provide opportunities for these groups to participate in today’s international economy. Intel has committed US$1 billion over a period of five years to support the program, the objectives of which include training an additional 10 million teachers in the use of technology in education, creating the potential to reach another one billion students. Intel’s ICT for Education program, under which each student gains access to a PC for the development of digital literacy skills, already is being piloted in India, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The Intel World Ahead Program is now active in nine Asia-Pacific countries – China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. In each of these, Intel collaborates with governments and organizations on programs that help bridge the digital divide. Leighton Phillips, Asia-Pacific Manager, Intel World Ahead, said, “Intel has in place 170 World Ahead projects in 60 countries worldwide. We are collaborating with governments, schools and universities, multinationals, non-government organizations (NGOs) and others who also are committed to bridging the digital divide.”
