The new services, including: offerings in India with the introduction of
1. UPI Lite: A simplified version of UPI for small-value transactions, enabling faster and more convenient payments for everyday needs.
2. Bill Split: A feature that allows users to split bills with friends and family, making it easier to share expenses and settle group payments.
3. Tokenized Cards: A secure way to store credit and debit card information on Google Pay, enabling seamless payments without sharing card details with merchants.
4. Tap-to-Pay: A contactless payment method that allows users to make payments by simply tapping their NFC-enabled smartphone on a compatible payment terminal.
Improved AI Search
Google has also enhanced its AI search capabilities in India, focusing on providing more relevant and localized results for Indian users. These improvements include:
1. Multilingual Search: Support for searching in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Gujarati.
2. Context-Aware Search: Understanding of local context and nuances, providing more relevant results based on user location and search intent.
3. Visual Search: Ability to search using images, allowing users to find information about products, places, and landmarks by simply taking a picture.
4. Voice Search: Enhanced voice recognition and natural language processing for Indian accents, making it easier to search using voice commands.
