Google’s forthcoming Pixel 10 series—comprising the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold—is expected to debut with enhanced triple rear-camera systems, with the base model adding a telephoto lens to rival Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup
Google is set to launch its highly anticipated Pixel 10 smartphone lineup at the Made by Google event on August 20, with expectations running high around both traditional smartphones and a foldable model. While the company has teased official images of the devices, full specifications will be revealed only at the event.
Expanded lineup with camera enhancements
The Pixel 10 series is expected to mirror last year’s Pixel 9 lineup, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Leaked renders confirm that the base Pixel 10 will now feature a triple rear-camera system, including a 10.8MP telephoto lens alongside a 48MP wide-angle and 13MP ultrawide camera, aligning it more closely with Samsung’s Galaxy S25.
The Pro models are tipped to carry a 50MP wide-angle, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto lens, further cementing their premium positioning. Reported colour variants include Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Lemonade for the Pixel 10, while Pro models could arrive in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade finishes.
Qi2 wireless charging and magnetic accessories
A significant upgrade could be the support for Qi2 wireless charging across the Pixel 10 range. This feature would introduce native magnetic compatibility with accessories such as chargers, wallets, and mounts — a first for Pixel phones and a move that aligns them with Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem. Reports also suggest Google may introduce its own accessory branding under the name PixelSnap.
Powered by Tensor G5 chip
At the heart of the new lineup is Google’s next-generation Tensor G5 processor, reportedly built on TSMC’s 3nm process technology. Early benchmarks suggest it may not match the performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, found in Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and OnePlus 13, but the chip is expected to deliver optimized AI-driven performance tailored for Pixel devices.
Pixel 10 Pro fold teased ahead of launch
Google has also teased the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which retains the tall, narrow design introduced in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. While the company has revealed only the design, speculation points to the device carrying the Tensor G5 chip and iterative upgrades in cameras and battery. It is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box.
With its combination of camera innovation, AI-driven performance, and new charging technology, the Pixel 10 lineup is shaping up as one of the most significant updates to Google’s smartphone portfolio in recent years.
