According to the latest update, there are going to happen some major management rejigs in Hewlett-Packard. It is reported that HP’s Co-Chairman Ray Lane is stepping down from his post. However, Lane will stay on HP's board as a director but has given up his position as chairman.
Besides Lane, two of HP's longest-serving board members have also resigned their seats altogether. The other board members who have resigned are John Hammergren and G. Kennedy Thompson.
It is important to note here that the latest departures from HP mean that none of HP's directors will have been on the board for longer than four years.
According to a spokesperson from HP that HP’s Director Ralph Whitworth will take over as Chairman, while the company finds a permanent replacement for Lane.
