IBM opens FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam to accelerate AI-led digital transformation

The new facility will strengthen IBM’s consulting and technology delivery capabilities, foster digital talent, support enterprise AI adoption and expand innovation services for global clients while reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s growing role in India’s technology ecosystem.

IBM has expanded its consulting footprint in India with the inauguration of a new IBM Consulting FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam, strengthening its commitment to the country's digital transformation journey and technology talent ecosystem. The centre is designed to deliver consulting and advanced technology services to global clients while enhancing IBM's AI-driven innovation capabilities in India.

The facility will support enterprise transformation initiatives across artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid cloud, software engineering, cybersecurity, data and analytics. In addition, it will serve as a hub for AI-first cloud transformation, platform engineering, service integration, quality engineering and user experience services.

The FutureNow Centre was inaugurated by Nara Lokesh, Minister of IT, Electronics and HRD, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the presence of Sandip Patel, Managing Director, IBM India & South Asia, along with senior government officials and IBM executives.

IBM said the new centre reflects its strategy to expand innovation and delivery capabilities across emerging technology hubs in India.
