Iomega has announced the launch of an array of products as well as Iomega v.Clone software in India. According to the company, the products launched are especially suitable for Indian markets.
Iomega v.Clone software is an application that enables users to create and carry on an Iomega hard drive an image of their primary PC which can be run on virtually any PC in the world.
Iomega, a worldwide leader in innovative storage and network security solutions for small businesses, is currently the consumer and small business products division of enterprise data storage vendor EMC, which acquired the company in 2008.
Talking to VARIndia, Rajeev Mukul, Vice-President for Asia-Pacific and Japan sales at Iomega, said that the company is selling personal storage tools. As a matter of fact, Iomega has even stopped calling its products "hard drives", using the term "personal storage" instead.
According to Mukul, the acquisition of Iomega by EMC has enabled the company bring enterprise-level storage technology owned by EMC, to consumers and small business customers.
